Even though Friday was my official last day at MSLO, I went to the 42nd office for an interview with Human Resources today. I think it went really well. Hopefully it will pay off in December/February. She told me to stay in touch, so I guess that is a good thing.
After the interview, I ran to the store to get some milk and then had lunch in my apartment. After lunch I went to Central Park to read a book, but it was so nice out i just laid out in the sun and listened to my iPod.
From Central Park, I wondered around the Upper West Side and eventually made it back to my apartment. At my apartment I worked on the Timmermann Girls New York Excursion itinerary and picked up the apartment....it definately needed it!
Tonight I met my friend from work in Astoria for dinner. Since Astoria is the greek neighborhood, we enjoyed Greek cuisine at Olavia. It was so tasty, especially the poma-tini. :)
I enjoy going to Astoria, it is nice to escape the city...sometimes!
While I was on the train going back into the city, there was an annoucement about an injury at the 34th-Herald Square stop. Getting off the train at 34th, since it is my stop, i am surrounded by tons of police officers, a stretcher or two, and EMTs. I was directed the other way, so i'm not sure what happened, but they were taping off a large area and the train was out-of-service just sitting on the tracks. It was very odd....maybe it will be on the news tomorrow or something.
Well, off to bed. I have a busy day lined up tomorrow!

I just saw the link for comments - probably a good thing in retrospect. Great blogging endurance - I enjoyed the stories. Congrats on your successful internship and NYC adventures - all of your teachers from K-12-MU are very proud of you!! I think you have set the bar higher for yourself - but why go to work for someone else with your talent - export what you've learned back here to the midwest and start your online guide to everything cool - call it "Sammie's" - and focus on under-30 lifestyle in St. Louis! All of your restaurant and bar and maybe some shopping bills will be tax-deductible after you write up the reviews - and from what I've read, that in itself might have significant cash flow benefits =).
