Per Sally's suggestion, I met up with her assistant, Christie and another ad sales assistant, Christine for lunch. We enjoyed lunch and listening to each others experiences at Brasserie Ruhlman in Rockefeller Center. The food was really good, i'm just not sure about the service...
After lunch I headed to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. This was my third attempt going to the BBG. I finally made it today. The gardens were really nice, I just think they would have been better earlier in the spring.
Jan Deiters, Joanne Lampe, and all of their sisters, aunts, cousins, etc are in NYC for the next two days. I tried meeting up with them at the Brooklyn Bridge, but there was a lot of confusion. I wasn't able to meet up with them at the bridge, but I did later in the evening at the W Hotel Time Sqaure bar and lounge. My friend Marissa and I enjoyed a few drinks with them at the bar. Jan introduced us to the St. Genieve drink. It was so tasty! Champagne, club soda, and St. Genvieve(?) liquor. I had a really nice time with them tonight. They are a bunch of crazy ladies... and I mean that in the nicest way! They are all great!
Meeting with these ladies was my first encounter with people from home. It was really nice to see familiar faces. I guess I will be seeing a plethora of familiar faces tomorrow when 16 of my family members arrive! I must go to bed and prepare mentally....
