life's a box of chocolates

Tomorrow is the big day, so I had to find the perfect outfit. I know...nothing like waiting til the last minute! :\ After going to Macy's, Gap, Forever 21, Bitten SJP, and Payless I finally found it! You may think I traveled all around NYC for this outfit, but I actually could see my apartment from each store. I am living in retail heaven! I think my outfit will be great. It is funny how more nervous about fitting in with my clothes than I am with the job. Who knows how I will feel in the morning..

Joanna came back from Cape Cod today so we had a roommate night. We watched Forrest Gump and ate Oreos. Liz, who works at Bubba Gumps part-time, has never seen the movie. We thought it would only be appropriate. She kept saying how everything is making more sense now. We thought seeing the movie would be a requirement to work at the restaurant!

Before watching the movie, I was reading tomorrow's horoscope on facebook. This is what it says:

"Your spirits are high at this time, and you feel optimistic, self-confident, generous, and good-natured. You greet life with a fresh attitude, and it is easy for you to forget the mistakes of the past and envision bright new avenues for growth and fulfillment."

I think it is appropriate for my first day. Seeing this I am very excited. Tomorrow is really a new beginning for me. Who knows what can happen. Before I left, everyone was asking me if I plan to stay in NYC after graduating or where I hope to be working. I kept saying/thinking that this summer is going to tell a lot. I am so excited knowing my professional future is beginning tomorrow. Even if this doesn't work out, I know it will lead me to new avenues that I never imagined possible. I am so fortunate.

I also related with Forrest Gump tonight. Even though I have watched this movie numerous times, I took something new away from it this viewing. No matter where you are from, who you know, or what people label you as, you can always achieve and accomplish the unimaginable. Life truly is a box of chocolates, you never know what you will get, who you will meet, or where you end up. I look forward to opening my new box of chocolates first thing in the morning.
