it's tea time!

For our speaker today we had Gael Towey, the Chief Creative Officer at MSLO, speak to us about "Building the MS Brand." It was very interesting to look at the different photographs and realize how special this brand really is. I really enjoyed her presentation.

After work I went to a MediaBistro event with Marissa. This event was sponsored by Lipton PureLeaf Iced Teas. They had free apps and drinks from 6-8. We didn't make it there til 7:30, so we caught the tail-end of everything. We both tried the Basil infused mo-TEA-os. They were surprisingly good. i would have liked to try the other drinks, but we didn't get there in time. I think the marga-TEA-ta would have fun interesting! They had recipe books to give out, but I forgot to grab one. I'm sure they have the recipes online.

I really like attending events like these in the city. We didn't do much networking because we got there so late, maybe next time. This event was different than Monday's because at the ed2010 event it was all interns. At the MediaBistro event there were established professionals attending. I saw an editor for LexusNexus....semi-interesting

I tried to see if they ever had events in St. Louis, but I didn't see any listed. Oh the opportunities in NY that aren't as available other places. I'm sure there are some in STL, i'll just have to look harder.
