Well today is Wednesday and usually I attend a Lunch and Learn at MSLO. Unfortunately I didn't RSVP fast enough and wasn't able to attend. I was number 8 on the wait list. Of course I was in a meeting and couldn't respond to the initial e-mail right away. I think my manager felt bad since all the other interns in my row were able to go. Therefore she bought me and the other girls lunch. I can't remember the place, but they delivered the food so fast to the office. It was soooo good. The prosciutto was amazing!
I attended a really interesting meeting today. Arash, the president of Savavjeah rugs came to MSLO to look at the new collection that is in process. Savajeah is the MS rug licensee. I was able to see how they select the new rugs for the market. I'm really enjoy following the Project Calendar from start to finish. It isn't as intense as my Project Management class calendars, but it is still interesting to see it all in action.
I really wanted to get out of the apartment tonight. During the week I do not do much. Therefore i contacted Andrew to see what he was doing. Originally we were going to just get a drink, but couldn't decide on a place. Instead we went to Rice to Riches in NoHo. This place specializes in rice pudding. They offer about 30 different flavors. Supposedly rice pudding is a big deal in NYC. Stacey Stienbach recommended this place to me. While I was reading through my 1001 ideas book I noticed they recommended it as well. Therefore I knew this place was going to be great. While it was really good, it was much different than I expected. I tried the chocolate chip and Andrew had the rocky road. It was a neat place. I would definately recommend trying it! You can taste before you buy, if the texture isn't your thing then go next door to PinkBerry. My roommates swear by it.
After Rice to Riches, Andrew and I walked around Little Italy and had a glass of wine. It was really nice to sit down and chat. Sammy C is coming this weekend and then James the next. We are so excited!
Well, I'm so happy I got out of the apartment tonight. I have so much to do in NYC still and so little time. I can't get over the fact it is almost the end of June already!
