Only in New York?

It was really hard getting up this morning. This weekend wiped me out. I was exhausted all day. Eventually getting up, I showered and got ready for the day really fast.

Nothing too exciting happened at work today. I did catch a glimpse of Martha, so that was exciting.

After work I met up with my friend Kathryn. Her gym is in my building, so after her workout she came up. We sat here and chatted for awhile and then went out for sushi at Cannan. It was so good. I'm not sure how much sushi usually costs, but it seemed really cheap. She says they deliver, so I will have to try it out in the future. My favorite roll was the sweet potato tempura. YUM-O!

While in Little Italy with James this past weekend I bought a new scarf. I've seen numerous people where this checked pattern around the city and fell in love with it. I saw one a black and white one in Little Italy, so i bought it. I love it so much i've actually worn it numerous times in the past few days. I decided to wear it to work today because i thought it looked great with my black dress from Banana Republic.

Half way through the day, Cheryl told me about this Rachel Ray/Dunken Doughnuts commercial that was canceled because she wore a scarf like mine. Supposedly it was controversial because it looks like a kaffiyeh and it is what murderous Arabs wear. Oh brother, I just liked the pattern! I did some research and decided to keep wearing it. I'm not even sure if mine looks like one because it doesn't look like rachels. I think these people are crazy. Let me know what you think. I think it is a cute scarf and after speaking to numerous people about it, i do not think it is a big deal. I was just trying to be trendy and fashionable! Only would these conclusions be made in New York/America....

P.S. more pictures to come, i just wanted to upload this one quickly for a "kaffiyeh" reference.
